Full Motion Picture Production Program
The Motion Picture Production Program is APFI’s banner program – a comprehensive one-year diploma course in all aspects of filmmaking. The program is designed to immerse the student in the different areas of production- directing, scriptwriting, editing, production design, production management, sound, visual effects, acting and cinematography. Students go through numerous individual and group video productions as exercises, shoot on digital video and 35mm film, and finish the course with a thesis film created with full artistic, technical and logistical support from the school.

Basic Motion Picture Production Program
The Basic Motion Picture Program is the initial semester of the full Motion Picture Production Program taken as a stand-alone program. This is designed to give the student a basic introduction to the fundamental aspects of filmmaking.

For an affordable fixed monthly fee, we will make our facilities available to your institution for a full day every week (or according to your class schedules). Video and film equipment, computer graphics and editing labs, classrooms and shooting stages can be used by your students or employees to augment your course offerings. The affiliate program also allows your institution’s students and faculty 40% percent discount on all our program offerings. With APFI’s affiliate program your school can say that your mass communication or filmmaking courses are backed by complete equipment and facilities.

Motion Picture Production & TV Workshop For Teachers
This workshop is designed for mentors and teachers in the mass communication field who desire to teach video production. The workshop will center on basic directing, scriptwriting, lighting, acting, camera and editing techniques in the context of creating a short narrative video as well as ancillary lectures on production management, production design and visual effects. It will feature numerous guest lecturers from various fields and will touch on techniques of teaching filmmaking to students. The final project for the workshop is a short film shot both at the APFI stages and on location using professional cameras and lighting equipment.
Length: 6 Saturdays (7 hours) and 3 weekday lab sessions (5 hours)
APFI offers 1-day and 3-day workshops in various post-production techniques. Workshops available: Final Cut Pro Basic Editing, Basic Editing and Compositing, Basic Broadcast Motion Graphics, Basic Visual Effects. These are weekend workshops held at our editing and computer animation labs.
Length: Workshops vary from 1 Saturday (5 hours) to 3 Saturdays (3 hours per session)
Vocational Film Crew Training Program
Our Vocational Film Crew Training program is designed to give introductory training to people who want to work as lighting, sound and camera crew for television and film. The program is designed by cinematographers and audio engineers in conjunction with industry suppliers and production companies to standardize industry practices and create efficient and employable film and video crew members.
